I have not blogged at God Incarnate in almost a year and for good reason. For the past year I have been working feverishly on preparing courses for the new Grace Bible Institute. I have several new writing projects in mind and I would like to use this blog to flesh out some ideas and hopefully gain some valuable insight from those of you who visit my blog. One such idea I have is a book on being a pastor of a small church that deals with the many roles of a pastor. One of the chapters for that book was published a few years ago in the Journal of Modern Ministry and is titled “The Pastor as a Teacher.” It can be read here.

Dr. Fabricatore, I just finished a book by Vanhoozer and Strachan entitled, The Pastor as Public Theologian: Reclaiming a Lost Vision. I thought the book was a helpful treatment of one of the functions of the pastorate and dovetails with your “Pastor as a Teacher.”
Tom,
I just saw this comment! I’m sorry. Thank you for the heads up and Happy New Year.
