Two New Greek Resources by Rod Decker

Dr. Rod Decker of Baptist Bible Seminary will have published this Fall both a first year Greek Grammar as well as a two-volume handbook on the Greek text of the Gospel of Mark. The first year grammar published by Baker Academic is titled Reading Koine Greek: An Introduction and Integrated Workbook. It will chime in at 560 pages and will be a major contribution to the study of first year Greek in bible colleges and seminaries.

The two-volume handbook on the Gospel of Mark is part of the Baylor Handbook on the Greek New Testament series. This work will very likely be exhaustive in scope. I base this on the fact that Mark, while the shortest Gospel, is demanding 2 volumes in this series while Luke the longest gospel is only one volume in this series yet comes in itself at 800 pages! The pre-publication announcement does not give the page total for each volume as far as I can tell but I am assuming 500 pages per volume. Volumes 1 will covers chapters 1-8 and volume 2 chapters 9-16.
