Last week I attended the Council on Dispensational Hermeneutics at Baptist Bible Seminary in Clarks Summit, Pa where I presented a paper titled, “A Lexical and Exegetical Examination of οἰκονομία.” I have posted a slightly updated version of the paper I presented for anyone who might be interested in reading it.

Dan,
I appreciated reading the paper. I would say from my experience that you are right that the time element is still frequently attached to the concept of dispensation and at the same time linked to oikonomia. I also think your final conclusion is right on.
What I would love to see is some serious work done on the covenant of redemption from a dispensational perspective. Many dispensationalists have held to a covenant of redemption (Graves, Chafer, Pentecost, Walvoord, S. L. Johnson, J. MacArthur, and A. Ross to name a few), but dispensationalists almost never give it much “air-time” in their discussions. I think this is an over-looked area and has some interesting implications.
Thanks Biilly,
Maybe a theology guy can handle that one:) SOmeday if I get some time, I may take a look at it.
