Δικαιοσύνη Θεοῦ and N. T. Wright

Noted Greek scholar Dan Wallace has recently posted an essay on the New Testament expression “righteousness of God” (δικαιοσυύνη θεοῦ) as found in Romans. In the essay Wallace is critical of N. T. Wright’s recent work titled Justification which was released this past May. Wright is an ardent proponent of the New Perspective on Paul.

  1. It is good to see Wallace chiming in on this discussion.

  2. The noted scholar is Wright, not Wallace. The entire world of biblical scholarship knows this.

    • Alan,

You will note that I called Wallace a noted “Greek scholar” which you must have missed. No one doubts that Wright is a scholar. I did not make any negative remarks about Wright in the post. However you did mention that “The noted scholar is Wright, not Wallace.” I am sure you are aware of just how many academic institutions use Wallace’s Greek Grammar. If you know of any Greek textbooks written by Wright, I would appreciate you letting me know.

      Dan
